Yahoo Group Membership Instructions

HOW TO OBTAIN A YAHOO EMAIL ADDRESS
AND GAIN ACCESS TO OUR GROUP!

1. When you click on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Downey_POA/, You will come to a page that asks you to sign in.. If you already have a yahoo email address then go ahead and sign in. If you don't, then you can begin the process by clicking on the join icon (Fig: step 1)

2. You will then come to a page that says "Sign Up Now" (Fig: Step 2) Click on the underlined "Sign up now" Text to go to step 3.

3. Fill out entire form. ( Fig: Step 3) For occupation and job title questions, just select "other" if you don't want to give that information. Make sure you check the box that states, " Activate Yahoo! Mail "

4. When you are finished with the form, click the "Submit This Form" at the bottom of the page.

5. You will then be asked to enter the word you see in the encrypted box in the blank text box. (Fig: Step 5)

6. You will then see a confirmation that looks like this (Fig: Step 6)... click "Continue to Yahoo".

7. This page will then come up with your Yahoo! user name... just put in the password you made up, click continue, and an email will automatically be sent to Jim Shade or Bill Gough,who will then authorize your membership and you will be notified by email that you have permission to gain access and use of the group pages.
***Be sure and identify yourself with your name and position in the comments section before submitting form***.
